Follow your intuition - but how?
New Moon in Taurus, a pivotal time to ground your dreams in reality!
Indulging, embodied, earthy. This new moon cycle comes with enhanced senses, a refresh for hands-on creativity and feet on dirty soil (or sand in our case, hi from Greece!). The eye of fortune and protection is omnipresent here and a reminder to see this opening of possibility in our current lives, accepting right where we are without denying nor pushing. This is the perfect time to ask yourself: What am I chasing and what am I escaping?
Neither will get you where you truly want to be: In peace, contentment and love for yourself. In the heart of the matter, you can be present with what is. And if you can´t, I have just the medicine you need for this pivotal New Moon in Taurus that asks us to stay with our senses.
It is said that the gods were pondering as to where to hide the biggest power in the universe, in order for the humans not to find it until they are responsible and ready.
After many suggestions the wisest of them all said to hide it in the human itself, as they will never think to search there until they are mature enough to follow the journey within.
Paraphrase of a Hindu legend
Could this greatest power be our intuition?
Let us find out what Intuition actually stands for and how to get access and further deepen our intuitive being:
Intuition from lat. in- (upon) -tueri (to look) [consider] to late lat. intuit (contemplated) and engl. intuit (instruct, teach) [understand or work out by instinct] means:
insight, direct or immediate cognition, spiritual perception
The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning
Instinctive feeling (yet intuition is not instinct, instinct is closer related to our survival)
The quality or ability of having direct perception or quick insight
The Icelandic word INSÆI means Insight, which can mean “the sea within” and “to see within” or “to see from the inside out” - “The sea within” is the borderless nature of our inner world, a constantly moving world of vision, feelings and imagination beyond words. “To see within” means to know yourself, and to know yourself well enough to be able to put yourself in other people’s shoes. And “to see from the inside out” is to have a strong inner compass to navigate your way in our ever-changing world.
Here we have an understanding through seeing, understanding and the element of water which stands for emotions and in form of the deep vast sea it stands for the unconscious, the consciously unknown - we “feel” the knowing or perceive unconscious information through our emotions and sensations rather than our rational thoughts or consciousness.
Intuition is the result of unconscious information processing, sending out seemingly spontaneous insight or sensation.
Intuition can be an instinctual feeling but is not our animalistic instinct. Instinct is much closer related to our survival mechanisms whereas our intuition wants us to thrive, not only survive.
Initial intuitive responses are calm, pure and innocent.
However, our reactions, thoughts and feelings to those inklings can be fear, doubt or disbelief. We tend to over analyse something that confuses us or doesn’t make sense in the now. But your intuition has a longer sight than your mind and is not wired to protect you from growth.
Have you ever heard someone tell you to “just trust your body/yourself”?
But how can I trust myself?
You might ask - Especially when you are not sure what is learned, conditioned behaviour, trauma responses or insecurities.
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE
Daily devotion is key. The hardest step is to start because when we have no clue yet how to listen and trust ourselves the first step can be the most frustrating as it might not bring you immediate results, but it is the most important as it will lead to more steps and taking ownership of our lives!
In order to trust ourselves, we have to be aware of the several aspects of our being and how they speak to us. As intuition is a source of wisdom informed and fuelled by your body, brain, gut, heart, soul and the collective.
And we will dive into all of them in my Intuition Ignition course as it is all about connecting to all of our senses in order to decipher the magical insights from within.
I created and held this course last year and in honour of this time (and before I re-record and add to it) I will make it available one last time for £44.44 until Saturday, May 11th - after that only yearly paid members of this newsletter will have access to it.
