What awaits you in the next months in this space
Most of you know that I am awaiting my second child and it is getting closer and closer to the end of this very easeful wild pregnancy of mine.
As I put down my regular writing and teaching schedule to prepare for birth, go on walks and have many baths with my toddler I will be on a break until July. You can still expect some writings to make their way into your inbox and I wanted to give you a heads up as to what that will look like and where you can access previous articles that are worth diving in to. Plus a brief pregnancy update and some personal words.

I have felt baby move from month four (when nausea faded) and since been growing with them in confidence and trust that allowed me to plan for a birth outside the medical system. Which I had already with my first son but the pregnancy was still highly observed and it became blatantly obvious how unnecessary every single examination was. This time around I spared myself that stress, which goes to show how much distortion, pressure and anxiety we all (and especially women and mothers to be) carry as a baseline around in their bodies and nervous system. Just by being in context of what is deemed “normal” and “health care”. And as we all are (should be) aware of is that stress in pregnancy affects the unborn child. This is why indigenous cultures have any drama kept far away from the woman who entered the liminal time of gestating new life and honour her embodiment of bridge between heaven and earth.
I have only had my own stress to be responsible for which was mainly to do with working until late stages of pregnancy but as I love my work and am creating not only my own schedule but also my tasks and offerings, I found this to be more exhilarating, inspiring and creative than a burden. Also the OGs remember that I still sent out a newsletter in labour last time.
But this time has come to an end now as I can’t sit in front of the laptop for longer than 30 minutes at a time, no matter if I sit cross legged on a meditation cushion, bounce on a gym ball or try to keep myself straight on a chair.
Plus I find screens to be more and more distracting and annoying and rather stare out the windows of our new home, in awe of the tall shimmering birch trees, white blossoms swirling through the spring air and fairy flowers weaving themselves through the garden grounds into an ever changing tapestry of colours.
