I am a deep lover of the cyclical nature of life and embrace the shifting seasons. I love how you have described the preparation for winter, with this analogy of the cave. I personally love this time of harvesting crops (both physically and metaphorically) and readying myself for the darkness. Simultaneously I have also learnt to love my inner autumn, using this time to prepare food for the winter / my bleed time, using the last of my energy to create that cosy nest so in winter there are less things to worry about.
Thank you Venus! I love how you also see the resonance in the menstrual phases, I haven´t even thought about that yet! Probably because I haven´t bleed since conception, which is almost two years to it. I am really looking forward to it but similiar to winter I am also weary as to how it will shape our new family life and relating. So you mentioning this, actually makes we realise I can PREPARE here too! To embrace the moon cycle again when my body is ready to. Also love that you are harvesting! What is your seasonal favourite?
As we are still "nomadic" in our short term renting land, we don´t have a garden to tend to but my brothers garden tomatoes and my mom´s balcony green beans were an absolute treat! Also there is so much mugwort around in Germany, are you connecting to her at all?
As much as I love my bleed, I am so jealous that yours hasn’t yet returned!! It’s very intense now that I have a child to care for through the thick of it all. Also it means that for my intimate life we have to be VERY careful and every month I’m convinced I’m pregnant and go through a whole process (like in my recent post 😅).
Yes you can absolutely prepare for it. And as a mother I would really start thinking about how you can create little rituals and be intentional about it. And maybe ways Sean can offer extra support at that time ♥️
Ha I am only harvesting what the hedgerows have to offer! Since we left our land in derby there has been no veg patch so it’s just berries and herbs from the roadside!!! Lots of mugwort here too. I have been connecting but not drinking (again thought I was pregnant and it’s not recommended in early pregnancy/if at all) xx
Mmm I really loved this piece, thank you Laura.

Thank you again ♥️
