I loved listening to you both on my walk through the woods this morning. There were so many layers of beauty to what you spoke to that felt of so much relevance to myself and my whole family, from distraction to letting emotions be and not always being so intent on regulating them. We need them all. So much to unravel from upbringings by older generations and to forge new ways of being in order to experience life most fully and gloriously, thank you both xx

It’s incredible actually when we think that only within one generation mainly because of the internet and electronic devices have we almost eradicated our ancient human way of relating to our environment , nature, each other and ourselves 🤯

I think we were primed for it 😔 I have faith for our future as a species though. I think we will rise from this.

“So much to unravel from upbringings by older generations…” it’s so true isn’t it 😰 I’m sad for them as much as I am sad for us. I’m so glad this piece touched your life ♥️

Huge!!! I still can’t believe he is wearing shoes already. The growth rate is immense these days, every day he’s learning. We really enjoy it, especially thinking about all the parents that now have grown up kids and how fast the seasons and phases of life change

“Once we start avoiding, we cannot stop avoiding in order to continue to avoid. Meaning… once we start running from discomfort, we must continue to run in order for the discomfort to not catch up with us. Meaning, we must maintain distraction 100% of the time in order to not have that discomfort creep in, in moments of stillness”. This is me 🤦🏻‍♀️ The running from my discomfort is something that I have done my whole life literally and figuratively, and only realized last year, that I do this and how detrimental it is to who I am as a person. Thank you for this post, I am going to reread it again and really take in what you wrote and have a think about it 💗

Ahhh holding your hand so lovingly rn. I feel you Mackenzie! Celebrating your self awareness that’s alerted you to this realization! It’s from that place of awareness that reclamation begins!
