I feel very drawn to nymphs and fearies too, especially tree nymphs. Thank you for sharing your writing and your magical longings, I resonate with them deeply - the call to merge fully with nature, to become a tree, or a bubbling brook, just like the fearies do ✨

Thank you rhianna for your comment it so reassuring to know we are not alone in our longing in fact it seems to be second nature particularly to women

I just finished Atalanta - the story telling of how she joined the Argonauts but what really struck me was the way she grew up by Artemis’ guidance and in company of the nymphs. The ecosystem they created in the forest and their deep unwavering connection to nature. Loved this read!

Such a powerful story! And yes I am very drawn to nymphs particularly because they are able to connect, make a home and know the ecosystem and mycelium network as one

I adore this. I also resonate with the imagery of nymph - in fact, I’m working on a dress collection that are all silk, nature-inspired nymph gowns. What really stuck with me though was how you pointed out how the nymphs fleeing male gods feels representative of how female deities were chased out by masculine ones. That’s so poignant, definitely something I’m going to think on.

Oh Kerani, that makes me so happy that it stirred some profound thought within! Also love your nymph collection already, I am dreaming of a natural fibre silky dress that caresses the skin and feels like flowing water

You are very welcome! It’s a fascinating conversation to have indeed and one I can expand with much more nuance over time as there are so many tales of water women and otherworldly beings!

Half my childhood was in a pool pretending to be a Mermaid... 🥰

I totally remember these times as well!! I believe as children have an even stronger sense of the otherworld and maybe we just need some more pretending and playing for our adult selves
